Hike Day

Today is already day 4 of camp... It's flying by!

I don't have much time to post- but hopefully the pictures below will speak for themselves! We are tired, but doing great. Relationships are being built with students and we are seeing God at work.

Today is an important day - it's hike day! We will spend most of today on a 16 km hike. It's one of my (Jess) favorite days because it provides time for extended and really purposeful conversations. Looking back, a lot of turning points in relationships have happened during or after hike day. We are excited to see how the Lord works today.

Would you pray for us? For boldness in conversations, for safety as we hike, for intentionality, for energy!

Thank you!!

  1. Thanks so much for the update! We are praying for you all every day! May your joyful faces reflect God's love and glory!

    II Corinthians 3:12-18

"Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is Spirit."

  2. Love the Pictures!
Looks like you are all having a great time. Can't wait to hear the stories, the stories of new friends being made, and those new friends finding faith in Christ, Keep going, this is not done in vain but for the expansion of Gods Kingdom!
    Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles;they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isa. 40:28-31

On a side note, Justin what's with the orange socks and sandals?
    Love you Guys & Gals!

  3. Thank you for the pictures and the prayer update! It looks like a fun time ripe with opportunity. It is good to hear how friendships are being build and edified and I pray that each person will be strengthened in their innermost being and will have sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leading.
Keep encouraging one another and pressing in!

  4. I am agreeing in prayer with Kristin, Brent, Lisa, and Cassie ... this update is very encouraging and the pictures are telling a story. I hope and pray that hike day was more than you could think or imagine in building relationships and having extended conversations about Jesus Christ.
As you and the Czech students grow, "let them walk wisely in Your ways and be delighted with Your wisdom, that they will commit everything they do to You and trust you to show them the blessings of obedience. Let their actions reflect the light of Your goodness, righteousness, truth and wisdom in all they do. Day be day, fulfill all Your plans for them".

    Onward and Upward .... Beth

  5. Wednesday!! One week until you come home! Not that I'm counting or anything! :) Wednesday was always the hardest day for us in Poland -- praying for a fresh outpouring of God's strength and grace for all of you. Like the jar of oil that didn't run out in the OT, He will keep replenishing you so you can pour into your campers lives!! Keep going! We are praying for you -- cheering you on!
